Department for Women, Children, Disabled & Senior Citizens – Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP) under Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS) Scheme – Extension of “Gorumuddalu” scheme to all the Children in the age group of 7 months to 6 years under Tribal Sub Plan covered under Tribal ICDS Projects under “Girigorumuddalu Scheme” – Orders – Issued.

1.In reference 1st read above the Government has issued comprehensive food models to be followed uniformly for all categories of beneficiaries in all districts in the state and also indicated in order to meet the daily calories/protein/RDA requirement of the beneficiaries as per GOI norms without any gaps, any variation in the tentative cost will be observed in the overall price variations under Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP) with a tentative cost of @Rs.6/- ,Rs.9/- Rs.7/- per child, SUW children and Pregnant and Lactating Women respectively per day. Further the state plan progrmme i.e., Anna Amrutha Hastam which is presently implemented in all tribal area ICDS Projects by the State Government with a cost norms @ Rs.13/- per day per Pregnant and Lactating Mother. 
2. In reference 2nd and 3rd read above, in order tackle malnutrition among the age groups of 7months to 3 years and 3years to 6 years children the Government has started scheme “Gorumuddalu” and issued guidelines for “Special care and Supervised feeding” of the children up to 5 years categorized under Severely Underweight (SUW)/Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM)/ Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) under SNP programme in all ICDS Projects. 
3. In the reference 5th read above, the Director, Women Development and Child Welfare Department, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad among others has stated that as per the Monthly Progress Report (MPR) in 24 Tribal ICDS Projects there are 1,34,497 children in the age group of 7 months - 6 years in the state. Now it is proposed to cover all the children in Gorumuddalu scheme for Special care and supervised feeding irrespective of the category i.e., Normal, MUW & SUW. She has requested to release an amount of Rs.21.70 Crores to provide “Special care and supervised feeding” under Gorumuddalu Programme for all the children of 7m-6yrs of age in all the 24 Tribal ICDS Projects. 
4. In the G.O. 6th read above, the Finance (FMU-WD,CW,DW,SC,LETF, HSG) Department have issued the Budget Release Order to the Director, WD&CW Deptt., AP, Hyd., for an amount of Rs.20,00,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Crores Only) under Plan as additional funds in relaxation of Treasury Control and quarterly regulation orders pending provision of funds by obtaining Supplementary Grants at the appropriate time during the current financial year 2015-2016 under Gorumuddalu scheme. Accordingly, Administrative Sanction order has been issued to the Director, WD&CW Deptt., AP, Hyd., in the reference 7th read above.  
5.After careful examination of the matter, the Government hereby accords approval for extension of “Gorumuddalu” scheme to all the Children irrespective of the category i.e., MUW &SUW Children in the age group of 7 months to 6 years under Tribal Sub Plan covered in all the 24 Tribal ICDS Projects under the name of “Girigorumuddalu Scheme”. 
6. The Director, Women Development and Child Welfare Department, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad shall take necessary action in the matter.
