DOST Admission Notification 2023 

Notification for Undergraduate Courses (UG) Admissions in Telangana State Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST) 2023-24 Online applications are being accepted for registration and admission to all Undergraduate Courses, including B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.Com.(Voc)/ B.Com (Hons)/ BSW/ BBA/  BBM/ BCA etc., offered by all the Colleges affiliated to Osmania University, Kakatiya University, Telangana University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Palamuru University and Satavahana University, Mahila Vishwa Vidyalayam (Wome's University) respectively, JNTU and D-Pharmacy in Polytechnics affiliated to TSBTET for the Academic Year 2023-2024.

Candidates who have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education or any equivalent recognised examination from other boards/states are eligible to apply. One-time registration fee for all the colleges/courses of one or more Universities is Rs.200/- (two hundred only), which can be paid through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/Twallet,/UPI.



DOST Admission Schedule(2023-24):


DOST-2023 Admissions Procedures for Students:
Method-I: Step-I Registration/DOST ID Generation. 
  1. If a student has already connected Aadhaar number with the mobile phone, he/she can instantly register in DOST Website with mobile OTP authentication.
  2. In case, his/her Aadhaar number is not seeded with mobile number, the student shall link his/her or his/her parent's mobile number with the student's Aadhaar at Aadhaar Update Centres
Method-II: 
  1. The DOST office is introducing a new "DOST App" that you must download on your Android smart phone. 
  2. It takes some time for your Aadhar-enabled face reading to register with DOST. 
  3. Unlike, the other Apps one is primarily developed to aid the students in order to expedite registration.
Method III: 
  1. The student may attend Mee Seva Centre for Biometric Authentication (Fingerprint/ Iris /Face Auth) and DOST registration.
Method-IV: The TSBIE students can register in DOST through T-App Folio
Mobile App based on photo authentication.
  1. Students can download the mobile-based T-App Folio, which includes a DOST ID generation service.
  2. Students must enter their TSBIE Hall Ticket Number, Date of Birth, Aadhaar Number, and Mobile Number.
  3. Following verification of the Hall Ticket, Date of Birth, Aadhaar Uniqueness, and Mobile Uniqueness, the data (Candidate's Name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, Gender, Candidate's Photograph) will be referred to the T-App Folio application.
  4. A DOST Reference ID is produced upon successful verification of a live photograph (selfie) with a photograph accessible in the TSBIE service.
  5. Students receive DOST Reference ID through SMS and app.
  6. By using reference ID the student can generate
  7. If the student is dissatisfied with the seat secured, he can pay a price (online payment) for the reservation of the seat and then go to the web choices repeated in the second and third phases for betterment. 
Seat Reservation Procedure and Fee Refund
  1.  A MeeSeva Caste/EWS Certificate Number (with CND number and sub-caste) issued by the Government of Telangana is required for quota seat allocation.
  2.  Income Certificate obtained on or after April 1, 2022 (only valid for DOST Admissions 2023-24).
  3.  N.C.C., E.C.A., Physically Challenged, and CAP (Children of Armed Personnel) certificates must be submitted.
Payment Procedure
  1.  Students must pay the DOST registration cost and seat reservation fee using online payment methods.
  2.  The students who are assigned to Government/University Colleges and are eligible for ePass fee refund need not pay any price for online selfreporting.
  3.  Students assigned to Private Colleges who are qualified for ePass tuition refund must pay Rs.500/- for online self-reporting.
  4.  Students assigned to Government/University Colleges/Private Colleges who are not qualified for ePass college tuition refund must pay Rs.1000/- for online self-reporting.
Helpline Services
  1.  In total, 40Help Line Centres are established.
  2.  1 State HLC o 6 University HLCs o 33 District HLCs
  3.  Help Line Centres will assist students with registering on DOST, correcting any mismatches with Aadhaar information, and correcting any incorrect certificate uploads.
DOST-2023 has the following features:
Additional assistance for students are being developed to alleviate their stress.
  1.  Certain professions are listed on the DOST portal. Students can select their professions or careers by clicking on the combination of subjects from which they must select.
  2.  Aadhar-enabled facial recognition smart phone app is now available for DOST registration/id generation (applicable to all board students who have graduated).
  3.  To avoid human touch, Real time Digital Face Recognition of TApp Folio is continued. (This service is available just for the students who passed out from Telangana BIE).
  4.  Online Grievance system to resolve the issues of candidates, if any is available on DOST web site.
  5.  WhatsApp Chatbot (Auto Responder) integration with DOST. 7901002200 should be added to your contact list.
  6.  Open WhatsApp and say hi to the above-mentioned contact. You will be given our DOST-2023 Menu from which to choose. The same account will be used to deliver Template Messages on demand (for example, OTPs, Alerts, Campaigning, and so on).

DOST Online Degree Admissions Schedule & Registration Process

Only one online registration is sufficient for all the colleges/courses of one or more Universities. For online application and for further details, visit the domain, http://dost.cgg.gov.in The respective universities are responsible for the admission under their jurisdiction. The State of Telangana is going for Online Admissions for the second time in -2020. Telangana State Council of Higher Education has taken the responsibility of executing the process. Prof. K. Venkata Chalam, Vice Chairman 1 is the Convener of DOST (Degree Online Services, Telangana).


The main objective of the Government of Telangana is to give access to quality of education and equity in education to all students of Telangana State. This is made possible through DOST which ensures transparency. The excellent services that are extended through DOST will certainly make the students satisfied in all aspects with regard to their admissions into Degree Colleges.The Online Service, DOST, brings all Government Colleges, Autonomous Colleges, Private Colleges and Aided Colleges under one umbrella giving the students a wide range of Colleges and Courses to choose.  Online access to all the colleges to the students facilitates him/her to approach the colleges and universities without rushing from place to place physically.

He/she will have enough time to make choices from their own desk. The decision of the Government to charge only Rs 100/- from each registration, across the universities and colleges will be a financial benefit to the students. It is a onetime payment of Rs 100/- and the student can choose any number of colleges and courses in any university and in any phase, in case he/she decides to go for sliding.  All precautions are taken by the Convener, DOST, Prof. K. Venkata Chalam, to run the programme smoothly without any confusion.

The process begins with the biometric authentication by the student at any eSeva/Meseva by submitting the proof of his/her Hall Ticket number of Board of Intermediate, valid phone number, his/her Aadhaar card number. After receiving the unique ID/Token Number, the students have to take a print out and approach any system with internet facility for registering his/her Application Form.With the help of the token number, the student registers his name by paying Rs 100/- to the account of the Convener, DOST, with the help of IFSC Code Number and Bank Account Number (the student has to complete his/her Registration Process from the Website, dost.cgg.gov.in). The payment can be made by any debit card/credit card of any nationalized bank. All other details can be noted by logging on to the Website. This process is aimed to minimize the physical and financial burden and mental stress of both students and parents.

After completing the registration process the student will receive an Application Number. Then, he/she should fill in the Application Form. Many of the fields are auto-filled for the Board of Intermediate, Telangana State candidates. The latest Caste and Income Certificates of April -2020 have to be uploaded if the student is opting for a seat under reservation.The student can opt for any number of courses any number of colleges and in any university under Telangana State. Allotment details are informed to the candidate and to the concerned college Principals via SMS. The allotment letters will be sent to the respective students which he can download from the website. Students should approach the concerned Principles for verification of certificates. The concerned Principal will verify the required certificates and confirm the seat of the student.

In case of the candidates who are not satisfied with the allotment of a seat given in the first phase and who desire to choose a different one can again give their web options in second or third phases. But they will lose their earlier allotted seat in case they are allotted a new seat. However, the student who is interested in continuing with the allotted seat need not go for sliding.

For candidates, those who are not students of Board of Intermediate, Telangana State, and belong to other States should get their certificates verified manually at Help Line Centres of Government Colleges and University Help Line Centres and then go for the registration.They should first fill-up the Application Form and go for Web Options processes. Then again they have to visit any Help Line Centre of Government Colleges or University Help Line Centres or Eseva Centers to verify and complete Biometric Authentication processes. It is only then that such candidates are eligible for allotment and confirmation processes.

DOST-2020 Admission Process for the students

1. If a student has already linked Aadhaar number with the mobile number, he/she can directly register in DOST Website with mobile OTP authentication

2. In case, his/her Aadhaar number is not seeded with mobile number,
a. The students shall link his or his parent’s mobile number to the student’s Aadhaar.
b. The students can register in DOST through T App Folio Mobile App based photo authentication OR
c. The students may visit DOST Helpline Centre (HLC) or MeeSeva Centre for registration in DOST.
d. One should preferably visit any HLC as he/she will be guided confidentially. 

3. Registration on DOST is by paying registration fee of Rs 200/-
a. After the registration students will get DOST ID and PIN. The students are advised to keep their DOST ID and PIN carefully and confidentially till the end of the admission process.
b. The students shall log in using DOST ID and PIN/password to open the Application Form.
c. They must fill in the application form with all the correct details that are required (once the data is submitted it cannot be edited).
d. Then they must exercise web options by choosing the course and college of their preference by giving the priority numbers. (one must be careful while giving college and course priorities as the seats will be allotted according to the priorities
specified in the options).
e. The students are advised not to share DOST ID/PIN/Password with anybody to keep their options confidential.
f. Seat allotment will be given to the students who exercised web options.
g. Seats will be allotted based on the merit and reservations in force.
h. If the students are satisfied with the seat allotted, they must confirm the seat by online self-reporting and pay the required confirmation fee online as per the payment mentioned below.
i. The students who confirm their seat (in any phase) by online self-reporting must visit the allotted college in person from 20. 08.2020 to 24.08.2020 and submit the required certificates and pay fee. It is only then your seat is confirmed.
j If the student is not satisfied with the seat secured, he can pay fee (online payment) for the reservation of the seat and then, go for web options once again in the second and third phases. 


Seat Reservation Process and fee reimbursement

1. Entering of MeeSeva Caste Certificate Number (with CND number and sub-caste), issued by Government of Telangana is mandatory for seat allotment under reservation.

2. Income Certificate taken on or after 01.04.2019 (valid only for DOST 2020), N.C.C. Certificate, Extra Curricular Activities Certificate, Physically Challenged Certificate, CAP (Children of Armed Personnel) Certificate should be uploaded.


Payment Process

1. Existing three payment gateways i.e., Bill-desk, Atom and TWallet (T-Wallet does not charge any commission from students while paying the fee online) shall be used for DOST 2020 for DOST registration fee and reservation fee.

2.  The students who are allotted to Government/University Colleges and are eligible for ePass fee reimbursement need not pay any amount for online self-reporting.

3.  The students who are allotted to Private Colleges and are eligible for ePass fee reimbursement need to pay an amount of Rs.500/- for online self-reporting.

4.  The students who are allotted to Government/University Colleges/Private Colleges and are not eligible for ePass college fee reimbursement need to pay an amount of Rs.1000/- for
online self-reporting.

DOST News: Students seeking admissions into degree colleges through Degree Online Service of Telangana (DOST) are facing problems in completing the admission forms because of mandatory biometric registrations imposed by the government. The biometric registrations are time-consuming and hence the students are forced to spend extra time at authorised centres for the completion of biometric registrations.

According to the new rules, students getting admissions through DOST should successfully complete their intermediate and then register their fingerprints at the Mee Seva centres through a biometric system by submitting their intermediate pass certificate and Aadhaar number. They would then get a token number which would give them access to the website for the online application process. However, registering fingerprints through the biometric system in the Mee Seva Centres is consuming lot of time, the students said. As the Mee Seva centres are falling short for lakhs of students  they are facing troubles in completing the process without wasting time. 

There are about 3 lakh seats in the government and private degree colleges in the first year and about 3.5 lakh students are there in the State seeking admissions into degree colleges. According to the schedule, the online admission process through the DOST will be available only till May 26. The admission process was started on May 18.  The Mee Seva centres are the only authorised centres for biometric registrations and the students are flocking in thousands to get complete the process.

Process of Admission :
Verify your Aadhaar number seeded/linked with your mobile number through the link https://resident.uidai.gov.in/aadhaarverification, well in advance.
Link your mobile number with your Aadhaar number, name, gender and date of birth as per SSC/Intermediate Certificate, well in advance.
Visit https://dost.cgg.gov.in
You have to pay Rs. 200/- online to register on DOST
One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your Aadhaar linked mobile number.
Once you receive OTP, login for further registration process
DOST ID will be generated based on your hall ticket and this will be valid and referred to till the process of admission is completed
The admissions will be made in three phases


Important Suggestions:
  1. Enter your Aadhaar Number without any mistakes
  2. Do not lose your mobile number till you complete the Admission Procedure
  3. Choose your web options carefully
  4. Do not choose the courses or medium in which you are not interested
  5. After paying the course fee ensure that your seat is confirmed Online by the Principal of the College
  6. Approach any nearest Help Line Centre to resolve your problems, if any
  7. Important Instructions
  8. You need to fill in the "Student Details Form" only once.
  9. You have to pay Rs.100 for seeking admission in each university seperately.
  10. You may apply for unlimited number of colleges within a university.
  11. You may apply for more than one combination within the permitted undergraduate programme.
  12. You may apply for one or more or all the six universities. Registration is required to be done only once.
  13. All the students, other than Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh should get their eligibility and equivalence certificates and approach nearest helpline centres of the respective Universities for verification.
  14. All the students, who applied under special category ie., NCC, NSS, Sports, CAP should get their certificates verified at helpline centres of the respective Universities. Dates will be informed in advance for each special category. Officers of concerned departments will be available for verification of the special category certificates.



Step wise guidelines for DOST admission process

  1. Open http://dost.cgg.gov.in website.
  2. You will find the home page with the six university logos and various instructions, information of Colleges, Courses etc.
  3. Thoroughly read all the instructions on the home page such as Check List, Student Instructions and browse the Colleges and Course list .
  4. Select a University to which you want to apply by a click on the University Logo .
  5. UG Online Admission Payment Form will appear. Please fill in the Student Details in the form.
  6. After filling the UG Online Admission Payment Form click on Proceed to Paymentbutton.
  7. Payment gateway page will appear. Pay your online application fee using your Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking facility.
  8. If payment is successful you will see a message which looks like below.
  9. " Your payment was Successfull for Rs.100/- on DD/MM/2016...Your Transaction Id is XXXXXXXXXX and Acknowledgment no. for your Application is: XXXXXXXXXXXX"
  10. Please write down your application number. Also you will receive SMS with your application no. to your registered mobile no.
  11. Click on the application button next to home,the UG Online Admission Form FOR ACADEMIC YEAR : 2016-17 will appear.
  12. For students of Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, some of your information will be auto filled by the software and you complete the remaining information.
  13. For students who belong to the boards other than Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh all the details must be entered by the student.
  14. Please enter equivalent percentage of CGPA accurately.
  15. After furnishing all the details, click on the Preview button.
  16. Verify your Details once again and Press "SUBMIT" button to submit UG Online Admission Form.
  17. TS UG Online Admission Registration Payments Status and Web Options page will appear.
  18. If you wish to pay for another university select "Pay Another University" and complete payment formalities.
  19. When you opt for another university you will not have to fill in the UG Online Admission Form once again.
  20. To Excerise Web Options click on "Click for Web Options" link. To Exit click on LOGOUT
