To get Asara old age Pension the Telangana Government has decided to decrease the age to 57 years and has Released New Application Form to Download. Eligible The citizens of Telangana of age 57 and above can Download and submit the application form to the competent authority immediately. The eligibility age limit has been reduced by the Government Of Telangana for sanction of Old Age Pension(OAP) from 65 years to 57 years under Aasara Scheme. For verification for identifying the eligible beneficiaries, the following measures must be taken for sanction of old age pensions. Download Asara Pension Application Form. Social Security Pensions – Aasara Pensions – Social Safety Net Strategy - Implementation of Aasara Social Security Pension Scheme for Persons who are Old & infirm, Widows, Differently Abled, Weavers, Toddy Tappers & with HIV-AIDS in the State - Orders - issued. Government of Telangana as a part of its social safety net strategy, hereby, introduces the Aasara pensions with a view to ensure secure life with dignity for all the poor. This scheme is meant to protect the most vulnerable sections of society in particular the old and infirm; people with HIV-AIDS, widows, incapacitated weavers and toddy tappers, who have lost their means of livelihood with growing age, in order to support their day to day minimum needs required to lead a life of dignity and social security.
Socio - economic criteria: Aasara pensions are meant only for the families with disadvantages, who in old age or upon being widowed in the family members has no earnings. Earning members in the families are expected by law to look after their parents. Similarly, persons are severely stymied with their disabilities by their levels of handicap that renders them to be ineffective and excluded by society and family; therefore, they need financial support. Accordingly, there is a need for inclusion and exclusio criterion to be taken into consideration for the grant of social security pensions under the Aasara Scheme.
The government has proposed the new social safety net scheme proposed by shall be called as Aasara Pension Scheme and might be effective from October 1, 2014.

What are the Eligibility Conditions for Asara Pension Scheme?
1. Vulnerable and Primitive Tribal Groups;
2. Women headed households with no able bodied earning members;
3 .Households having persons with disabilities;
4. Only one member (preferably the women) per household shall be eligible for a pension in respect of all pensions except disabled and widows ;
5 .Landless agriculture laborers, rural artisans/craftsmen (such as potters, tanners, weavers, blacksmiths, carpenters), slum dwellers, persons earning their livelihood on daily basis in the informal sector like porters, coolies, rickshaw pullers, hand cart pullers, fruit / flower sellers, snake charmers, rag pickers, cobblers, destitute’s and other similar categories irrespective of rural or urban areas;
6. Homeless, houseless households residing in temporary informal establishments or huts especially in urban areas;
7. Households headed by widows or terminally ill persons/disabled persons /persons aged 65 years or more with no assured means of subsistence or societal support and able bodied earning member.
What is the Eligibility of Age?
The following conditions listed below shall not be eligible for Social Security Pensions to the persons belonging to the households fulfilling one or more
1.,Having land more than 3.0 acres wet / irrigated dry or 7.5 acres dry.
2.Having children who are Government / Public sector / Private sector employment / Out-sourced / contract;
3. Having children who are Doctors, Contractors, Professionals and Self employed;
4. Having large business Enterprise (oil mills, rice mills, petrol pumps, rig owners, shop owners etc.);
5. Already receiving Government pensions or freedom fighter pensions;
6. Owners of heavy automobiles/ and light (four wheelers and big vehicles.)
7. Having Annual household income is more than Rs. 1.50 lakhs in rural areas and Rs. 2 lakhs in urban areas.

6 ఓటరు ఐడీ లేకపోతే స్టడీ సర్టిఫికేట్ వయసు నిర్దారణకు ఉపయోగించుకోవచ్చు.
7.ఆగస్టు 31 వరకు దరఖాస్తు అవకాశం ఉన్నది కాబట్టి మీకు కావలసిన డాక్యుమెంట్స్ తయారు చేసుకొని మీ/ఈ సేవ సెంటర్ కి వెళ్ళండి
9 మీ సేవ సెంటర్ లో దరఖాస్తు దారుడు వేలి ముద్ర వేయాలి ఇది గమనించగలరు
10 ఇది వృద్ధాప్య పెన్షన్ దారులకి మాత్రమే

1. Aadhaar Card.
2. Address Proof.
3. Income Certificate.
4. Proof of age.
5. Death Certificate in case of a widow.
6. Bank Account Passbook.
7. Post Office Saving Account.
8. IFSC Code.
SSP - Aasara Pensions - Lowering of age from 65 to 57 years for sanction of Old Pensions - Certain Instructions - Issued - Regarding.
1) It has been decided to invite applications for sanction of old age pension, from the eligible applicants who tum 57 years as on the date of application, in all the E-SEVA / MEE-SEVA Centres in the prescribed Proforma as shown in Annexure-A.
2) District Collectors and Commissioner GHMC are requested to ensure collection of applications from eligible applicants in E-Seva / Mee-Seva centres.
3) The eligible applicants can apply till 31st August, 2021.
4) The age should be established as per criteria mentioned in G.O.Ms.No. 75, PR&RD(RD) Dept, dt 08--09-2015, as follows,
a)Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Authority or any office authorized to issue Birth and Death Certificate by the Registrar of Births & Deaths.
b)School leaving certificate / Secondary School leaving certificate/ Certificate of Recognized Boards from the school last attended by the applicant or any other recognized educational institution.
c)Electoral roll / Voter ID card
5) Eligibility criteria as prescribed in G.O.Ms.No.17 dt. 05.11.2014 and G.O.Ms.No.23 dt. 25-11-2014 of PR & RD (RD.I) Department will be applicable.
6) The application is requested to host by the the Commissioner, E-Seva is requested to host as in Annexure-A to the E- Seva / Mee-Seva Software, immediately and instruct all the E-Seva / MeeSeva centres to accept the applications immediately.
7) The Commissioner, E-Seva is requested not to collect any service charge from the applicant. Service charges for all the applicants will be reimbursed by Government to E-Seva.
