Post Lockdown English Activities for Bridging the Gap | Reopening Day 3- 8th Classes
Dear teachers!
School has reopened for classes 6th to 10th and going to reopen for primary classes even. Post the lockdown, the 11-month long gap is going to pose a bigger challenge for teachers. To fill the lockdown gap, we need some post-lockdown bridging the gap activities that would address the needs of the learner at this juncture.
The brightest way would be to start with something joyful that leads to learning. What can be better than learning by pictures, not just any pictures but pictures drawn by kids themselves. Their own world, their experiences and their thoughts.

So, these activities are aimed at holistic learning to begin with simple vocabulary leading to descriptions (just a few sentences) and then, leading the child to write conversations.

The joy of drawing pictures and letting oneself surrender to the process of learning will lead the child and teacher towards a richer process that is second to none. Here, the child takes part in the activities willingly and that helps him/her get involved big time.

Addressing the child's concerns must be the top most priority of the teacher and hence, the process needs to be simple and sweet not compromising on the holistic element.

Happy teaching-learning process, teachers and students!
