Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants should have passed a bachelor’s degree with 50 percent marks in any stream from India’s approved institution/university.
- Master’s degree holders with a 50 percent score can also apply to the IGNOU B.Ed program.
- ST/SC/OBC will have a reservation and relaxation of 5%.
Selection Process:
- To applying for the IGNOU BEd course, the candidates need to attempt the online entrance exam. Students who will be able to score high enough to get their names in the top applicants will be able to secure their seats for IGNOU BEd admission.

- Visit the IGNOU Official Portal- https://eportal.ignou.ac.in/entrancebed/.
- Register yourself by entering the necessary details.
- Click on the login button at the bottom
- Enter the username and password.
- Fill in personal, program, qualification, and correspondence details.
- Upload a photo and also a signature
- Pay the IGNOU BEd Admission application fee.
- Print the payment receipt for future reference
Admission Process after selection:
- Candidates who are shortlisted through the entrance exam can complete the remaining admission process.
- Remaining admission process is a process which includes document verification and payment of admission fee.

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Bsc Nursing Entrance test
IGNOU BSc Nursing Entrance Test 2019, Apply online: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announced the admission notification for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme. Admission in the batch commencing from January 2020 candidates will have to get through an entrance test scheduled to be held on November 9, across the country.
Candidates interested in the course can apply online at the official IGNOU website, ignou.ac.in. The applications are on and will conclude on October 10. The course is for three years’ duration which can be extended up to five years. To complete the course, students will have to earn 108 credits. This course has two major components: theory and practicals. It is divided into 22 courses; 11 theory and 11 practical
IGNOU OPENNET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
In-service Nurses i.e. Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM) having 10+2 with three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of two years of experience (after registration as RNRM) in the profession.For male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM program, should have a certificate in any of the Nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery.

In-service Nurses (RNRM) having 10th class (Matriculation) or its equivalent with three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of five years of experience (after registration as RNRM) in the profession
For males’ nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM program, should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery
- The broad objectives of this programme are to:
- Provide an opportunity to a large segment of in-service nurse to upgrade their knowledge and skills in order to respond to the changing health needs of the society.
- Motivate nurses to maintain clinical competence for providing quality.
- Develop teaching, administrative and research skills.
- Promote personal and professional growth for better opportunities.
- Administrative competence with effective supervision to provide quality nursing care.
- The Application Form can also be downloaded from the IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in or obtained from Regional Centre IGNOU directly or by post.
- In case the entrance test form is downloaded, a demand draft of Rs.1000/- should be sent along with the form. Candidates will be required to apply/submit their entrance test form to the Regional Centre from where the candidates wish to pursue the Program.
- It may be noted that the Program Study Centres for Post Basic BSc Nursing are located only in Regional Centres as given in Appendix-VIII. So candidates are requested to ensure that they fill the RC code/PSC code in their entrance test forms of only those regional centres where PSCs for Post Basic BSc Nursing are activated and given in the Appendix-VIII.
- Application should be submitted at concerned Regional Centre only (Where the candidate wishes to take admission) and where PSC of Post Basic BSc Nursing is located.
- Applications in the prescribed form complete in all respects should reach the Concerned Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre (where the Program study centre of Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is located), on or before October 2019 by registered post/speed post.
- Fill up Regional Centre Code where you want to take admission and in which the Program Study Centre of Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is located.

The number of seats as approved by INC for admission to IGNOU Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Program varies from PSC to PSC. The approved list of Program Study Centres (PSCs) for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing along with PSCs Code and RCs Code and number of seats is given in Appendix VIII
Category-wise Availability of Seats
A total of 650 seats in 20 INC approved Program Study Centres (PSC) are available for admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Program of IGNOU for January 2020 session.The list includes active PSCs where Post Basic BSc Nursing students will be admitted.

Reservation Policy as per Govt. of India rules will be followed for various categories
Issue of Exam Hall Ticket
The Hall tickets are uploaded on University website 10 days before the commencement of examination. For appearing in the exam the students are required to download the hall ticket and appear in the exam.
