Examination Time Table:

1. Scholastic Aptitude Test(Science, Maths, Social of VII & VIII classes) 90 Qeustions 90 Minutes 90 Marks
2. Mental Aptitude Test(Science, Maths, Social of VII & VIII classes) 90 Qeustions 90 Minutes 90 Marks
3. Medium of the paper: Telugu/English/Urdu/Hindi

Exam Centers:
All the Head quarters of the 31 Districts in Telangana.

Who can apply:
A candidate who scored at least 55% of marks in class VII examination of hte year 2017-18 and has been promted to class VII for the academic year 2018-19. in respect of SC/ST candidate they should have secured at least 50% or tis equivalent grade.
Candidate whose parental annual income is below Rs. 1,50,000/- from all sources is eligible to appear for the examination. in case of Govt employee salary certificate will be enough as a proof of income issued by the employer.

Fee:
General and BC candidates: Rs.100/-
SC/ST candidates Rs. 50/-
Exam fee can be paid through SBI collect while applying online.

Guidelines:

1. Application form should be registered online in Board of Secondary Education(TS) website (Link given below) as explained in user guide.
2. One lakh scholarships @ Rs.12000/- per annum (Rs.1000/- per month) are awarded to selected students of class IX every year and their continuation/renewal in classes X to XII for study in State Government, Government-aided and Local body schools under the scheme.
3. There is quota of scholarships for different States/UTs.
4. Students whose parental income from all sources is not more than Rs. 1,50,000/- per annum are eligible to avail the scholarships.
5. The students shall have minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in Class VII examination for appearing in selection test for award of scholarship (Relaxable by 5% for SC/ST).
6. At the time of selection for the award of scholarship the candidate must have scored at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in Class VIII examination. There will be 5 % relaxation for SC/ST.
7. For continuing the scholarship in class X and XII, the awardees should get clear promotion from class IX to class X and from class XI to class XII in the first attempt with 55% marks (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST).The students should continue their studies in Government, Government aided, local bodies i.e. ZP, municipal schools, and Modal schools which have no residential facility. The awardees must obtain a minimum of 60% marks in Class X (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST) examination or equivalent examination for continuation of the scholarship at higher secondary stage.
8. Each State/UT conducts its own test for selection of students for the award of the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship. The State Level Examination consists of the following two tests.(i) Mental Ability Test (MAT) (ii) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

నేషనల్ మీన్స్ కమ్ మెరిట్ స్కాలరుషిప్ టెస్ట్(NMMS):

1.  రాష్ట్రంలోని ప్రభుత్వ, జిల్లాపరిషత్,మున్సిపల్, ఎయిడెడ్,ఆదర్శ పాఠశాలల్లో ప్రస్తుతం 8వ తరగతి చదువుతున్న విద్యార్థులు మెరిట్ స్కాలరుషిప్ పరీక్షకు అర్హులు.
2. 2017-18 విద్యాసంవత్సరంలో 7వ తరగతిలో 55%,50%(SC,ST) మార్కులతో ఉత్తీర్ణత పొంది, తల్లిదండ్రుల వార్షికాదాయం 1,50,000 లోపు ఉండాలి.
3. జనరల్,బిసి అభ్యర్థులకు రూ.100, SC,ST,PHC అభ్యర్థులకు రూ.50.
4. పరీక్షా రుసుము ఆన్లైన్ దరఖాస్తు లింకుకు అనుసంధానంగా వున్న SBI Collect లింకు ద్వారా చెల్లించవలసి ఉన్నది.
5. ఎంట్రన్స్ పరీక్ష 04.11.2018 న ఉదయం 9:30am to 12:30pm వరకు తెలుగు/ఇంగ్లీష్/హిందీ/ఉర్దూ మీడియంల నందు,నిర్ధేశించబడిన పరీక్షా కేంద్రాల్లో నిర్వహించబడుతుంది.
6.  ఎంట్రన్స్ లో మెరిట్ సాధించిన విద్యార్థులకు 9వతరగతి నుండి ఇంటర్మీడియట్ సెకండ్ ఈయర్ వరకు నెలకు రూ.1000 చొప్పున సంవత్సరానికి రూ.12,000 సంబంధిత విద్యార్థి అకౌంట్లో జమచేయబడతాయి.
7.  *Paper-I: MAT (Mental Ability Test) 90 ప్రశ్నలు,90 మార్కులు.*
8. *Paper-II:  SAT (Scholastic Achievement Test) 90 ప్రశ్నలు,90 మార్కులు.*
9.  VII&VIII తరగతుల సిలబస్ నుండి మొత్తం 180 మల్టిపుల్ ఛాయిస్ ప్రశ్నలుంటాయి.3 గంటల సమయం, PHC అభ్యర్థులకు అదనంగా 30 నిమిషాలు కేటాయించబడుతుంది.
10. జిల్లా ప్రాతిపడికన మెరిటెలిస్ట్ రూపొందించబడుతుంది.ప్రతి పేపర్లో మినిమం క్వాలిఫయింగ్ మార్కులు 40%,అదే SC,ST విద్యార్థులకు 32%.
