Exam
Pattern
- Part-A (GS):
100 MCQs × 2 marks each; covers Polity, Economy, Geography, History,
Science & Tech, Culture, Current Affairs. Final merit is based solely
on Part-A
- Part-B (CSAT):
40 MCQs × 2 marks each; includes Aptitude, Reasoning, English RC;
qualifying exam requiring ≥ 33%, not counted in merit
- Negative Marking:
–1/3 mark for each wrong answer in both parts

1. What is the Telangana SC Study
Circle coaching program?
This is a free residential coaching program for UPSC Civil Services
(Prelims + Mains) 2025, offered by the Telangana Scheduled Castes Study
Circle, Hyderabad. It includes coaching, accommodation, and study material.
2. Who can apply for this coaching?
Only candidates who fulfill all the following are eligible:
- Belong to SC, ST, BC (including BC-E) or PwD
categories
- Are domiciled in Telangana
- Hold a graduation degree in any stream
- Have family income ≤ ₹3,00,000 per annum
- Are not employed, enrolled in any other course,
or previously availed similar coaching
3. How many seats are available?
There are 100 seats, distributed as:
- SC – 75%
- ST – 10%
- BC – 15%
- Women – 33.33% (horizontal)
- PwD – 5% (horizontal)
4. What is the last date to apply?
The last date to submit the online application is 10 July 2024.

Yes, a written entrance test will be held on 21 July 2024.
- Part A:
General Studies (100 Questions, 2 marks each) – considered for merit
- Part B:
CSAT (40 Questions, 2 marks each) – qualifying only (minimum 33%)
- Negative Marking:
⅓ mark for every wrong answer
7. Will I get free accommodation and
food?
Yes. Selected candidates will be provided free hostel accommodation, food,
coaching, study material, and test series.
8. When does coaching begin?
Coaching is expected to start in the 4th week of August 2024 and
continue for about 10 months.
