DOST-2025 Admission Process for Students

Step I: Registration and Generation of DOST ID

Method 1:
If a student's Aadhaar number is already linked to their mobile number, they can register directly on the DOST portal through mobile OTP verification. If not, they should update their Aadhaar by linking their or their parent's mobile number at an Aadhaar Update Center.

Method 2:
Students from the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) can register using the DOST Mobile App, available on the official website. This method uses facial recognition. After a successful scan and photo match, a DOST ID will be issued. Here's how:

  • Download the DOST App from the official website.
  • Register with your mobile number.
  • Enter the OTP received.
  • Once submitted, authentication features will appear.
  • Provide personal details (name, date of birth, mobile number, Aadhaar number, etc.).
  • Use the face recognition tool. Upon successful match, a DOST ID is generated.
  • Then proceed to pay the registration fee of Rs. 200 and fill in the application form.

Method 3:
Students can visit a MeeSeva Centre for biometric verification (fingerprint, iris scan, or facial recognition) and complete their registration on the DOST platform.

DOST Registration & Seat Allotment Process

  • A registration fee of Rs. 200/- is required to complete the registration.
  • Upon successful registration, students will receive a DOST ID and PIN—these must be kept secure throughout the process.
  • Log in with your DOST ID and PIN to access and fill the application form.
  • Carefully fill all required fields; once submitted, details cannot be edited.
  • Exercise web options by choosing preferred colleges and courses, assigning priority numbers to each choice—seat allotments depend on these priorities.
  • Keep DOST ID, PIN, and password confidential.
  • Seats will be allotted based on web options, merit, and reservation rules.
  • If satisfied with the allotment, students must confirm the seat by online self-reporting and pay the relevant fee.
  • If not satisfied, students may reserve their seat and participate in the next rounds (Phase II or III) for a better option.
  • Final confirmation requires visiting the allotted college in person between 24.06.2025 and 28.06.2025 to submit original documents and pay the course fee. Failure to do so will result in seat cancellation.

Reservation and Fee Reimbursement Details

  • Seat reservations will follow the government guidelines as per G.O.Ms.No.2 (20.01.2025), G.O.Ms.No.15 (27.02.2025), and G.O.Ms.No.10 (14.04.2025).
  • For seat allotment under reservation categories, students must:
    • Provide the MeeSeva-issued Caste or EWS Certificate number (with CND and sub-caste details).
    • Submit an Income Certificate issued on or after 01.04.2024, valid for DOST-2025 admissions.
    • Upload relevant documents such as:
      • NCC Certificate
      • Certificate for Extra-Curricular Activities
      • Disability Certificate (if applicable)
      • CAP Certificate (for Children of Armed Personnel)

Payment Information

  • All payments, including registration and seat reservation fees, should be made online.
  • Students allotted seats in Government or University colleges and who qualify for ePass fee reimbursement are exempt from paying the online self-reporting fee.
  • Those allotted to Private colleges and eligible for ePass must pay Rs. 500/-.
  • Students (in any institution) not eligible for ePass must pay Rs. 1,000/- to complete online self-reporting.

Key Features of DOST-2025

To simplify and enhance the admission process, DOST-2025 includes several new services aimed at helping students make informed choices regarding courses and colleges:

  • Facial recognition through the DOST Mobile App has been introduced to streamline the registration and DOST ID creation process. (Note: This feature is available only for students from the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education - TSBIE.)

  • An online grievance portal is available on the DOST website, allowing students to raise and resolve issues during the admission process.

  • Integration with WhatsApp Chatbot (Auto Responder):
