AP LAW COMMON ENTRANCE TEST APLAWCET/APPGLCET - 2025
Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test (AP LAWCET & AP PGLCET – 2025) will be conducted on 05-06-2025 for admission into regular LLB (3 year and 5 year courses) & LLM (2 year course) for the Academic Year 2025-2026. Online submission of applications will commence from 25.03.2025. The eligible candidates are hereby informed to submit their application by paying the registration and processing fee through AP Online Payment Gateway. The last Date for Submission of Online Application without late fee is 27.04.2025. AP LAWCET & AP PGLCET-2025
ANDHRA PRADESH LAW COMMON ENTRANCE TEST -2025 (AP LAWCET & AP PGLCET-2025) is conducted by Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh on behalf of A.P. State Council of Higher Education, Mangalagiri, for admission into first year of 5 Year LL.B. / 3 Year LL.B Courses and first year of Postgraduate Law course LL.M. /M.L. respectively offered by State Universities, their Departments or Constituent Colleges and Affiliated Colleges in the State of Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2025-26.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
The candidate should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy Local / Non-Local Status requirements as per the Government of Andhra Pradesh Orders for 2025-26.
MEDIUM OF ENTRANCE TEST
• The APLAWCET (3 year and 5 year LLB courses) will be conducted in ENGLISH and TELUGU versions.
• The AP PGLCET (LLM courses) will be only in ENGLISH version.
TEST PAPER INFORMATION
AP LAWCET: The Test is designed to evaluate the candidate’s General Knowledge, Mental ability, Current Affairs and Aptitude to pursue the study of Law. The Test consists of three parts. Total number of questions will be 120 and the duration of test is 90 minutes. Maximum marks are 120. The Examination shall be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.
• Part A: Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks: General Knowledge and Mental Ability
• Part B: Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks: Current Affairs
• Part C: Consists of 60 questions carrying 60 marks: Aptitude for the Study of Law.
NOTE:
• The questions in Part-C, Aptitude for the study of Law, elementary knowledge of the basic principles of the Law and Constitution of India on the part of the student is assumed
• For 5 year Law Course, the standard expected is of Intermediate level / 10 + 2.
• For 3 year Law Course, the standard expected is of Degree Level.
• The Questions will be objective type including multiple choices questions, match the following. Each question contains four alternative answers and candidates have topick up the correct Answer from among the choices given.
Qualifying marks in AP LAWCET-2025: The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 35% (i.e. 42 marks out of total 120 marks). There will be no minimum qualifying marks for S.C & S.T candidates for ranking.
AP PGLCET: A Single entrance test is conducted for all the courses of LL.M. It is of 90 minutes duration and consists of 120 questions of 1 mark each. The Examination shall be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.
The test consists of TWO parts.
• Part-A: Consists of 40 questions carrying 40 marks (Jurisprudence-20, Constitutional Law-20).
• Part-B: Consists of 80 questions carrying 80 marks (Public International Law 16, Mercantile Law 16, Labour Law 16, Crimes and Torts 16, IPR & Other Laws 16).
Note: The Questions will be objective type including multiple choice questions, match the following type questions. Each Question contains four alternative answers and candidates have to choose the correct answer from among the choices given.
Qualifying marks in AP PGLCET-2025: The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 25%. (i.e. 30 marks out of total 120 marks). There will be no minimum qualifying marks for S.Cs & S.Ts for ranking.
