Dr.Y.S.R Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem invites applications from Diploma in Horticulture candidates for admission into four years B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture Degree programme through HORTICET-2024 Ranks for the academic year 2024-25.
  
On its official website, Dr. YSR Horticulture University, Andhra Pradesh will make available the HORTICET 2024 application form in June. Before the deadline, candidates can register for HORTICET 2024 by completing and submitting the application form. In July, Dr. YSR Horticulture University in Andhra Pradesh will release the HORTICET 2024 admit card online. By going to the official website, candidates can download the HORTICET 2024 admission card. Horticulture Common Entrance Test, or HORTICET for short, is a state-level entrance exam. Another name for it is the pre-agriculture exam. Andhra Pradesh's Dr. YSR Horticulture University will administer the HORTICET exam. Before the deadline, candidates can submit the HORTICET application form 2024. August is when the HORTICET 2024 exam will take place. The Horticulture 2024 result will be released on the official website in August by Dr. YSR Horticulture University in Andhra Pradesh. Candidates can visit the official website to view the HORTICET result for 2024.

Before applying for admission, candidates must review the HORTICET 2024 qualifying requirements. The Horticulture Common Entrance Test is open to those who wish to pursue a four-year undergraduate horticulture degree, or B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture Degree. Admission for B.Sc. (Hons.) at Dr. YSR Horticulture University in Andhra Pradesh will be available through the HORTICET test in 2024. Candidates must pass the Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University's Diploma in Horticulture course in order to be eligible for the HORTICET in 2024.

In order to rank the candidates in the Dr. YSRHU-conducted HORTICET-2024, the required percentage of marks for General and BC candidates is 25% of the aggregate marks, while there is no minimum qualifying mark requirement for SC/ST applicants. 

                                      

Eligibility Criteria:

A passing grade in the Dr. YSRHU Diploma in Horticulture course. Those who plan to finish the requirements for the diploma in horticulture in the academic year 2023–2024 are eligible to apply as well; however, they must provide the Final Memorandum of Marks–cum–Pass Certificate of Diploma in Horticulture during the admission counseling process).

Allotment Basis: In accordance with the Presidential Order and Rule of Reservation, based on HORTICET-2024 Rank. 

Age Limit:

As of December 31st, the year of admission, the candidates must have become 17 years old. The maximum age limit is 22 years old for all candidates, 25 years for S.C. and S.T. students, and 27 years old for physically challenged (differently abled) candidates.

Reservation of Seats:

1) In accordance with Andhra Pradesh government regulations.
2) Of the aforementioned seats, 85% will be allotted to local candidates, with the remaining 15% being considered an unreserved quota (UR).

Reverse classes: There are 29% of reserved seats in this category:
 (BC: A: 7%, BC: B: 10%, BC: C: 1%, BC: D: 7%, BC: E: 4%).

33.33% of the seats in each category are reserved for women.
10% of seats in the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) are supernumerary.

Note: The authorities in charge will conduct the counseling and verification for the special categories (PHC, CAP, NCC, SG, and Sports), and seats will be distributed in accordance with the priorities stated by the relevant officers.
 
Seat distribution favoring local candidates in respect to local area: 

15% of seats are Un-Reserved (UR) for candidates from the AU/SVU region. Candidates with HORTICET-2024 ranks from the Osmania University (OU) region may also run for these seats. 

The seats for the 85% local seats will be distributed among the candidates in the local region in a 42:22 ratio in the Andhra University and Sri Venkateswara University areas, respectively.

Local status Certificate: In accordance with G.O.Ms.No.171, General Administration (SPF & MC) Department, dated November 20, 2017, candidates seeking local status in Andhra Pradesh (AU/SVU) as a result of their migration from the State of Telangana must submit a scanned copy of their local status certificate, issued in Form-III by the relevant Tahsildar, along with their application.

Last Date for Submission of Application:

a) Completed application forms should be sent by mail or in person to "The Registrar, Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem-534101, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh" by 4 PM on June 15, 2024, at the latest.

Applications sent after the deadline won't be accepted, and Dr. YSRHU is not liable for postal delays.

b) Using the stipulated proforma and an application fee of Rs. 1000 for all other candidates and Rs. 500 for SC/ST and PWD candidates, candidates must apply for admission. The money can be paid electronically to the Dr. YSRHU account listed below, or it can be made using a demand draft made out to the "COMPTROLLER, Dr. YSRHU, payable at TADEPALLIGUDEM" on any nationalized bank. 

Issue of Hall Tickets:

The list of qualified applicants will be visible at https://drysrhu.ap.gov.in, the university website. The candidates' address will receive the original hall ticket for the HORTICET exam. If a 

candidate does not receive a hall ticket, they can obtain a duplicate hall ticket at the testing location by presenting their ID card as identification.
The following items are permitted for candidates to bring into the test center: 1) A simple pen  2) ID card and hall ticket

Qualifying Marks:

In order to rank the candidates in the Dr. YSRHU-conducted HORTICET-2024, the required percentage of marks for General and BC candidates is 25% of the aggregate marks, while there is no minimum qualifying mark requirement for SC/ST applicants. 

HORICET 2024 Results:

The University website will feature the candidates' merit list. When creating a merit list, the following factors will be taken into account if many candidates receive identical marks on the entrance exam:

1. The proportion of total points earned in the qualifying test, or OGPA for the Horticulture Diploma program.
2. Should the tie continue, the concerned candidates' dates of birth will be taken into account, with the older candidate receiving priority

1. Certificate of Date of Birth
2. Attested copies of the 10th grade transcript and the Horticulture Course Diploma.
3. The most recent conduct certificate, given by the head of the institute, attests to the fact that the bearer has never been disciplined or found guilty of misconduct during the study time.
4. A caste certificate issued by a Mandal Revenue Officer or Tahsildar (for SC, ST, or BC citizens)
5. Certificates granted by the relevant State authorities for individuals in specific groups, such as physically disabled people (Saderam Certificate holders), NCCs, and CAP
The most recent EWS (Reservation for Economically Weaker Section) certificate, issued by the Mandal Revenue Officer / Tahsildar, is valid for the years 2024–2025.
7. Three passport-sized photos that are printed on the hall pass and application form.
8. Documentation proving the application fee was received.

5. No applications will be accepted beyond the deadline, and Dr. YSRHU is not liable for postal delays.
Additionally, all material pertaining to HORTICET-2024 will only be available on the university website, https://drysrhu.ap.gov.in. As a result, candidates are asked to check the university website frequently for updates until the admissions process is over.

Allotment of Seats:

Seat allocation will be carried out in accordance with Presidential Order & Rule of Reservation, on the basis of merit in HORTICET-2024, and on the basis of the options provided by the candidate. 

Original Certificates to be submitted at the time of College joining:

If admitted, the candidates must present the original copies of the following certificates at the time of admission:
1. The pass certificate, also known as the memo of marks that the candidates received in the qualifying test (diploma).
2. SSC or a certificate from an equivalent exam
3. The Community Certificate, which must be signed by the appropriate authority and belonged to candidates from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Backward Classes.
4. A genuine certificate or study guide (6th class to diploma)
5. A proof of residency, if required
6. The transfer document from the candidate's previous polytechnic
7. The authentic certificates given by the relevant authorities in the case of candidates falling under Special categories (CAP, NCC, or PHC).
