SCHEDULE OF B.Ed. (SPECIAL EDUCATION) ADMISSION ENTRANCE TEST-2022-23 BACHELOR OF EDUCATION (SPECIAL EDUCATION) PROGRAMME -ODL: B.Ed. (SE) -ODL Programme is being offered through distance mode by Dr. BRAOU, Hyderabad. It aims to develop professionals for special education within a broad perception of education in the twenty first century. The programme is intended to train the professionals to enable them to imbibe knowledge, understanding, attitude and skill to impart education effectively to the Children with Special Needs. The Programme is offered in three specializations i.e. Visual Impairment(VI), Hearing Impairment(HI) and Intellectual Disability (ID)

SCHEDULE OF B.Ed. (SPECIAL EDUCATION) ADMISSION ENTRANCE TEST-2022-23

IMPORTANT DETAILS AT A GLANCE Bachelor of Education (Special Education) Programme [B.Ed. SE -ODL]

DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME

• Minimum period to complete the programme is 2 ½ Academic Years (i.e. 5 Semesters).\

• Maximum period to complete the programme is 6 Academic Years.

 TUITION FEE

For Entire Programme of two and half years (i.e. 5 Semesters) Total fee Rs. 40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand only) Rs.30.000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand only) for tuition fee + Rs. 10,000 (Rupees Ten thousand only) towards Learner Support Services fee) to be paid at the time of Admissions.The payment must be made through online only. Examination fee has to be paid as per the norms of the University. (Please note: No cash payments)

ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR FOR THE B.Ed. (SE)-ODL ENTRANCE TEST

1. The Candidate should be an Indian Citizen.

2. Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.C.A./B.Sc. (Home Science)/ BBM /BBA/ B.E/B.Tech. with specialization in Science and Mathematics) or any other qualification equivalent there to, are eligible for admission into the programme.However, the candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/PH should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.

3. Weightage to be given to the candidates fulfilling any one of the following conditions:

i. Parent of a child with disability, Possessing Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.

ii. Person with disability, possessing Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.

iii. Possession of any RCI approved Diploma/Degree.

4. Candidates must complete their qualifying examination by May/June, 2022 are only eligible to appear for the entrance examination.

5. The reservation for SC/ST/BC/PWD etc., categories shall be as per the rules in vogue.

NOTE: As per the GOMS No: 92(14) and GOMS No.13 (16), the candidates who passed MBBS/BDS/BPT/BAMS/BL/LLB/B.Pharm./BHMT/BVSC/B.Sc.(AG)/BOL/BA(Languages), BMR, B.Sc ASLP etc. and other such professional and Job Oriented courses are not eligible for admissioninto B.Ed. (SE) Programme.

 ADMISSION PROCEDURE

In Admissions will be done through web option based on the merit in the Entrance Test conducted by Dr. BRAOU. There is total of 500 seats in B.Ed. Special Education-ODL Programme in three Specializations.

The number of candidates to be admitted in each area of Specialization (TENTATIVELY) in the University shall be as follows:

a) Visual Impairment(VI): 100 *

b) Hearing Impairment(HI): 200 *

c) Intellectual Disability (ID) : 200 *

The candidate has to choose any one Specialization. Candidate can shift their area of Specialization i.e. VI/HI/ID at the time of admission as per their interest and availability of the seats in left over vacanciesas per the merit. (After all the candidates complete their web options in the specific specialization, requests for changes may be allowed).

SCHEME OF THE ENTRANCE TEST

* The entrance test will be held on 06-06-2023 from 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM at the selected examination centres.

* Candidates are informed to present in the examination hall one Hour before the commencement of the examination.

* The Entrance Test is divided into 2 parts for 100 Marks with 100 Objective type (Multiple Choice) questions.

* The entrance test will be held in English & Telugu media

Mode of Entrance Test

Entrance Test will be conducted Online [Computer Based Test (CBT) mode]. 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE CHOICE OF PEDAGOGIES IN B.Ed. (SE) PROGRAMME

(GOMS No. 92, Education Department, dated 16-11-2006 and GOMS No. 13 dated 27/05/2017, GOMS 14 & 16 and the amendments thereafter).

i. Mathematics: Candidates with B.A./B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the subjects, or B.C.A/B.E./ B.Tech. Candidates with Mathematics at Intermediate level as a group subject.

ii. Physical Sciences: Candidates with B.Sc. who have studied Physical Sciences (Physics or Chemistry) or Allied Material Sciences as group subjects or B.E/B.Tech. and BCA candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at Intermediate level as group subjects.

iii. Biological Sciences: Candidates with B.Sc./B.Sc.(Home Science) who have studied Botany and Zoology or Allied Life Sciences under Part - II group subjects or B.E/B.Tech./B.C.A. candidates with Biological Sciences at Intermediate level as group subjects.

iv. Social Sciences: All candidates with B.A./B.Com./B.B.M. or B.C.A. with Social Sciences at Intermediate level as group subjects.

ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF VERIFICATION.

1. Degree/PG (relevant subject of Pedagogy) Provisional Pass Certificate/Convocation

2. Degree/PG (relevant subject of Pedagogy) Year wise Marks Memos/Consolidated Memo

3. Date of Birth Certificate / SSC Certificate

4. Integrated Caste Certificate (Obtained after April, 2015)

5. Medical Board Certificate (for PH candidates/ Parent with Child disability issued by Competent Authority)

6. Transfer Certificate of last studied

7. Migration Certificate for other than Dr. BRAOU Students

8. RCI approved Diploma/Degree Completion/Pass Certificate(if applicable)

9. Intermediate / 10+2 certificate

10. Study Certificates (IX to Degree) or Residence Certificate

ATTENDING THE WORKSHOPS

Workshops/Instructional Classes /Academic Counselling will be conducted 12 days in each Semester.This excludesSchool Based Activities, Micro Teaching, Teaching Practice, Internship and Final Practical Examinations. The Workshops and other Classes will be scheduled in different phases as per the requirement of the B.Ed. (SE)-[ODL] Programme. The University has the right to conduct the Workshop and other Classes at any time during the Programme/Semester/Year.85%Attendance  during the Workshops and other Classes is compulsory. Otherwise, the students will not allow to appear for thesemester end examinations. 

PROGRAMME CENTRES

The Programme Centre is the contact point at the local level. The candidate has to select the programme centre based on his/her merit/rank. The programme centres provides Audio-Visual equipment, Library and other facilities in all working days.

* There are 500 Seats (both English & Telugu media) in B.Ed. (SE)-[ODL] Programme.

* In each Programme Centre, Maximum 50 seats will be filled in Specialised Subject area.

* Candidate can opt any centre based on his/her merit and availability of vacancies.

* The specialization chosen at the time of applied for entrance will be final. The request for the change will be allowed based on the availability of seats at end of admissions after last ranker of the concern specialization is given opportunity.

* The University doesn’t shift students from one centre to another at any cost (No mutual transfers are allowed).

* Students should attend workshops only at the programme centre allotted to them

Hall Tickets will be available in the University portal two days prior to the Entrance Examination. Proposed Examinations Centres are given below.
