Western Railway RRC invites ONLINE applications from interested Applicants for engagement as Act Apprentices against the 3624 slots notified for training in the designated Trades under Apprentice Act 1961 at various Divisions, Workshops within the jurisdiction of Western Railways for the year 2023-24. Online application process will begin on 27 .06.2023. The last date to apply is on 26.07.2023.

This is a Centralized Notification for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 being conducted by Western Railway and Railway Recruitment Cell, Western Railway (RRC-WR) has been nominated as nodal agency for obtaining ONLINE applications from Applicants.

Essential Qualifications :

AGE CRITERIA as on 26/07/2023 (Closing date):-

A). The Applicants should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 26/07/2023.

B). SC/ST/OBC - Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST applicants and 03 years in case of OBC Applicants.

C). Persons with Disability (PWD):- Upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years.

Application fees (Non-refundable)

For General Candidates : Rs. 100/-.

No fee is required to be paid by SC/ST/PWD/Women Applicants.

Fee payment will have to be made online through payment gateway as part of online application

Salary Details :

Selected Candidates engaged as Apprentices will undergo Apprenticeship training for a period of one year and will be paid a stipend during the training at the prescribed rate as per extant rules governed by the concerned State Governments.

MODE OF SELECTION:-

Selection of the eligible Applicants for imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on the merit list which would be prepared taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the Applicants in both Matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.

a). Applicants are required to apply ONLINE by visiting www.rrc-wr.com. Detailed instructions for filling up ONLINE applications will be available on the website.

b). Applicants are required to fill up the personal details/ Trade / Aadhaar number / Marks / CGPA / preference for Divisions / Workshops etc. very carefully as the Computerized Merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the information filled by the Applicant in the ONLINE application. In case of any discrepancy observed at the time of Document Verification, the Applicant will be disqualified summarily.
