CTET December 2024: The Central Board of School Education (CBSE) has issued the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Notification for the December 2024 Exam. CTET 2024 Eligibility :
The CTET test is divided into two levels: Primary Teacher (PRT) (Level-1) for teachers in grades I-V and Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) (Level-2). CTET Level-1 exam eligibility is 12th pass + D.Ed/ JBT/ B.El.Ed./ B.Ed., while CTET Level-2 exam eligibility is Graduation + B.Ed./ B.El.Ed.
The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) created these eligibility standards to ensure that candidates are well-prepared for their teaching positions.
The CTET examination is set to take place on December 1, 2024. The exam will be divided into two shifts: Paper I (for Primary Teachers) will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and Paper II (for Trained Graduate Teachers) from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Candidates should be aware that admit cards will be distributed two days before the exam date, with results due at the end of January 2025.
CTET December 2024: Exam Pattern
The CTET contains two papers:
Paper-I: Examined applicants' knowledge of child development, pedagogy, language I and II, mathematics, and environmental studies.
Paper-II: Designed for upper primary education (Classes VI-VIII), it covers similar topics but focuses on content knowledge essential to teaching at this level.
Each paper consists of multiple-choice questions with no negative marking, allowing applicants to tackle questions without fear of being penalized for wrong responses.

CTET Exam Date :
The CBSE will hold the CTET December 2024 exam on December 1, 2024. The CTET Paper-II (TGT) will be held on December 1, 2024, in the morning shift from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The CTET Paper-I (PRT) will be held on December 1, 2024, during the evening shift from 02:30 pm to 05:00 pm.
How to Apply :
Candidates must complete out the CTET application form 2024 in two parts: registration and application form. To register for the exam, candidates should follow the instructions given below.

2). Click the application/registration form link.
3). Read the exam notification carefully, then click the checkbox at the bottom of the page.
4). Click the 'Click Here to Proceed' button.
5). Complete the CTET online registration form.
6). Candidates should note down the system-generated application number.
Next, candidates must complete the CTET authentication and application forms by following the processes outlined below:
> Log in to the registered account with the application number and password.
> Fill in the authentication form.
> Fill up the application form.
> Upload scanned photo and signature according to the given parameters.
> Pay the CTET application fee by Syndicate Bank/Canara Bank e-challan, credit card, debit card, or net banking.

ELIGIBILITY
The following persons are eligible for appearing in the CTET.
Educational Qualification for Classes I-V
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” “(a) who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two year of such appointment as primary teacher”.
Educational Qualification for Classes VI - VIII
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final yearof 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)
OR
Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to
appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE
letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses
(recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification
dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.
CTET 2020 Admit Card/ Hall Ticket
CTET 2020 Admit Cards will tentatively be released on June 20, 2020 at the official website. Particulars on the admit card should match the details given on the confirmation page. Candidates are advised to check all details on the admit card for any discrepancies and report to the authority regarding any corrections.
