UGC NET 2020 Exam Dates has been released. National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2020) is managed by the National Testing Agency (NTA). UGC NET is conducted for the Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship for Indian national citizens. UGC NET is conducted once in a year. Junior Research Fellowship honorees are also eligible to pursue research in their PG subject from IITs or other national institutions on the basis of this exam score. UGC-National Eligibility Test is conducted to determine the eligibility for Assistant Professorand for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. UGC NET is a single-stage selection process which will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) at selected cities of examination spread across the country.

UGC NET will be held in twice a year. A month after announcing the tentative date, the Union government has released the final schedule of the NET (National Eligibility Test) exam that will be conducted twice a year - once in December and then in June by the newly constituted National Testing Agency (NTA). Along with NET, JEE (Main) will be held twice while NEET will be held once a year.

UGC NET 2020 దరఖాస్తులు ప్రారంభం.

యూజీసీ నెట్ 2020 (UGC NET-2020) ఏడాదికిగానూ దరఖాస్తు ప్రక్రియ ప్రారంభమైంది. కనీసం 55 శాతం మార్కులతో పోస్ట్ గ్రాడ్యుయేషన్ ఉత్తీర్ణులైనవారు యూజీసీ నెట్‌కు దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవచ్చు. అయితే ఓబీసీ, ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ, దివ్యాంగులకు 50 శాతం మార్కులు ఉంటే చాలు. పోస్ట్ గ్రాడ్యుయేషన్ చివరి సంవత్సరం పరీక్షలకు హాజరయ్యే విద్యార్థులు కూడా నెట్‌కు దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవచ్చు.

అసిస్టెంట్ ప్రొఫెసర్, జూనియర్ రిసెర్చ్ ఫెలోషిప్ కోసం UGC NET-2020 నోటిఫికేషన్‌ను నేషనల్ టెస్టింగ్ ఏజెన్సీ (ఎన్‌టీఏ) ఇటీవల విడుదల చేసింది. మార్చి 16, 2020న ప్రారంభమైన దరఖాస్తుల ప్రక్రియ ఏప్రిల్ 16, 2020 వరకు కొనసాగుతోంది.

ఫీజు చెల్లించేందుకు చివరి తేదీ ఏప్రిల్ 17, 2020 తగిన అర్హతలున్న విద్యార్థులు, అభ్యర్థులు ఏప్రిల్ 16వరకు ఆన్‌లైన్‌లో దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవాలి.


దరఖాస్తు ఫీజు:

దరఖాస్తు ఫీజు విషయానికొస్తే జనరల్ అభ్యర్థులు రూ.1000.00 ఓబీసీ, EWS అభ్యర్థులు రూ.500.00 చెల్లించాల్సి ఉంటుంది. ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ, దివ్యాంగ అభ్యర్థులు రూ.250.00 చెల్లించాలి.

UGC NET 2020 Application Form :

Candidates should go through the guidelines given below to fill the UGC NET application form.
  1. Candidates can fill the UGC NET 2020 application form through online mode.
  2. The candidates can apply online from 9th September 2019.
  3. The last date for applying online will be 9th October 2019.
  4. Candidates have to fill the application form, upload the required images, pay the fee and take the confirmation page printout.
  5. The NTA will provide the correction facility in the month of October 2019.
  6. Do not send the printout of the confirmation page to the NTA office.
Application Fee:

The application fee can be paid through credit/debit card or e-Challan (in cash to Syndicate /Canara / ICICI bank).
Processing charges & GST are to be paid by the candidate, as applicable.The application fee cannot be refundable or transferable under any circumstances.

Eligibility Criteria

The complete eligibility criteria for JRF and Assistant professor programmes is given below:

Age Criteria:
  1. For Junior Research Fellowship, the upper age limit is 30 years as on 1st June 2019.
  2. No age limit for the Assistant Professor.
  3. The relaxation in the upper age limit for OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD and women category will be 5 years.
  4. Relaxation will also be provided to the research experience and LL.M Degree (3 years) holders.
Qualification Requirement:
  1. Qualifying Exam: Candidates those have the Master’s degree or equivalent from a university recognized by UGC can apply. Ph.D candidates can also apply.
  2. Minimum Marks: It is necessary to have at least 55% marks in aggregate in the master’s degree. 50% marks for reserved categories.
  3. Appearing Candidates: Appearing in the final semester of the master’s degree can also apply.
  4. Relaxation: There is a 5% of relaxation for Ph.D degree holders in aggregate marks. Such candidates should have the Master’s degree examination which should be completed by 19th September 1991.
Exemption (Eligibility for Assistant professor)
  1. NET/SET/SLET will be the minimum eligibility criteria for the Assistant Professors.
  2. Candidates those passed the UGC/CSIR JRF examination prior to 1989 are exempted to appear in the exam.
  3. For SET Candidates: Those qualified the SET (held prior to 1st June 2002) are exempted from appearing in NET. Such candidates can apply for the post of Assistant Professor anywhere in India. Those cleared the SET (1st June 2002 onwards) are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in the Universities/colleges situated in the state from where they have cleared their SET
UGC NET New exam pattern:

From this year, NTA will conduct the exam and instead of 3 papers, there will be only 2 papers – paper 1 and paper 2.

Paper 1: It will be of 100 marks and will contain 50 objective type compulsory questions. Each question will carry 2 marks and will be of general nature and will test the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. The duration of the same will be one hour (9:30 am to 10:30 am).

Paper 2: It will be of 100 marks and will contain 100 objective type compulsory questions. Each question will carry 2 marks and will be based on the subject opted by the candidate. The duration of the same will be two hours (11 am to 1 pm)

Preparation:
The NTA would benefit the students and they would have the option of going to computer centres from August-end to practise for the exams. The tests would be computer-based. The exams would be held over a span of four-five days and students would have the option of choosing the dates, the minister said.

Syllabus:
The syllabus, question formats, language and fees for the NEET, JEE Main and NET exams would not be changed. The time table of the exams to be conducted by NTA would be uploaded on the ministry's website.
