TSPSC RIMC 8th Class Entrance Exam 2022 Notification
The Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) is an Inter-Services Institution and a Category ‘A’ establishment of the Ministry of Defence. The College was established in 1922 with the primary aim of providing quality all round education and preparing the boys for entry into Defence Services. Applications are invited for boys only for admissions to class VIII in the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun (Uttarakhand) for JULY 2022 Term which will be conducted at selected centers on 18/12/2021 (Saturday) .
Entry Age: Candidates (boys only) appearing for the above test should not be less than 11½ years in age but should not have attained the age of 13 Years as on 01st July 2022, i.e., they should have been born not earlier than 02/07/2009 and not later than 01/01/2011.
Educational Qualifications: Candidates should either be studying in Class V1I or Passed
Class VII from any recognized school at the time of admission to the RIMC, i.e., on 01st July 2022.
Scheme of Examination: The examination comprises:
(a) Written Examination: The written part of the examination will consist of three papers, namely, Mathematics (200 marks) (09:30-11:00 hours), General Knowledge (75 marks)
(12:00-13:00hrs) and English (125 marks) (14:30-16:30hrs) shall be conducted on 18/12/2021 (Saturday). Minimum pass marks in each paper is 50%.
(b) Viva Voce: The Interview date shall be will be announced later, and interview will be held for only those candidates who qualify in the written exam, Minimum pass marks in the interview is 50% and the date, venue for interview will be intimated to them by first week of March 2022. Intelligence, personality and communication skills of the
candidates will be tested in the viva-voce.
(c) Medical Examination: All the candidates qualified after interview will undergo a medical
examination at selected Military Hospitals and only those candidates found medically fit will be considered for selection and admission to the RIMC. The medical examination of the candidates forms only a part of the system of selection and does not imply the final selection.
(d) As per the Government of India, Ministry of Defence Letter No A/36105/GS/MT6/D(GS-II) dated 03 Sep 2014, the wards of Central Government employees can undertake their exam and viva-voce at the place of posting of employee/ domicile state. However, their candidature will be considered from their original domicile state. Therefore, it is mandatory to get the application deposited in the same state where the examination has to be undertaken.
(e) The interviews will be held for only those candidates who pass the written exam. The list will be sent to the respective State Governments by RIMC after approval of MT Directorate.
(f) It is mandatory for all the selected candidates (including candidates from All India Reserve Merit List, if selected) to join RIMC within 10 days on receipt of the joining instructions. Joining Instruction will be sent to candidate’s email ID as mentioned in application form by candidates.
(g)Results will be updated on RIMC website. Candidates are responsible to regularly
check the website for latest status update.
Examination Center: The Examination for the children of Telangana State will be conducted at Hyderabad only.
Fee: Fees at RIMC is heavily subsidized by the Central Government. The fee is present Rs.1,07,500/- for General candidates and Rs.93,900/- for SC / ST candidates per year. It may increase from time to time. At the time of entry a Security Deposit of Rs.30,000/- is to be made. This is refunded when the boy passes out.
Scholarships: Scholarships are granted by various State Governments to meritorious students. The amount of scholarships varies from state to state and is in between Rs.10,000/- to Rs.50,000/- per annum. Continuation of Scholarship once granted by the state is subject to merit, income and discipline of the cadet and his performance during the year.
Procedure to obtain Application forms: The prospectus-cum-application form and
booklet of old question papers can be obtained DIRECTLY from “The Rastriya Indian Military College, Garhi Cantt, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, PIN – 248003” through:
(a) ONLINE PAYMENT: The prospectus-cum-application form and booklet of old question
papers can also be obtained by making online payment of Rs.600/- for General Candidates and Rs.555/- for SC/ST candidates on RIMC Website “www.rimc.gov.in”. On receipt of the payment, the prospectus-cum-application form and booklet of old question papers will be dispatched by Speed post only.

(b) BY SENDING DEMAND DRAFT: The prospectus-cum-application form and booklet of old
question papers can be obtained by sending a written request with a demand draft of Rs.600/- for General Candidates and Rs.555/- for SC/ST candidates along with Caste Certificate in favor of ‘’THE COMMANDANT RIMC DEHRADUN’’, DRAWEE BRANCH, STATE BANK OF INDIA, TEL BHAVAN, DEHRADUN, (BANK CODE-01576), UTTARAKHAND. The address should be TYPED / WRITTEN CLEARLY IN CAPITAL LETTERS with PIN Code and Contact Number. RIMC will NOT be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit of prospectus caused by illegible or incomplete address. The delay on part of postal department is not the responsibility of this institution.
Note:
The application forms issued by RIMC only shall be valid. Locally printed / Photocopied and without RIMC hologram (Seal) forms shall not be accepted.
No refund of the application fee will be made on any condition.
Last Date: Original Applications (two) accompanied by documents to be attached with application form are; Two Passport Size Photographs, Domicile Certificate of the candidate, Birth Certificate (issued by Municipal Corporation / Gram Panchayat), SC/ST Certificate and Certificate from Principal of the school in original with photograph on it attested stating date of Birth and in which Class studying. Application forms from the candidates whose parents/guardians are domicile of Telangana State should reach the TSPSC by 30th October 2021. The wards of Central Government Employees, in order to verify the antecedents of such candidates intend to take the written examination in Telangana, are free to ask for service certificates over and above the routine documentation. The candidates appear for examination in Telangana must also satisfy themselves with respect to place of duty of the parent/guardian.
Other than the above, no other candidate is allowed to appear for written examinationin Telangana except candidate’s domicile is Telangana. The application form must be sent to the T.S.P.S.C only but not to the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
TSPSC RIMC 8th Class Entrance Exam 2020 Notification
Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) Admission July 2020 - has issued notification for the Entrance for admission to VIII Class in the R.I.M.C. Dehradun for the Term July 2020.
The Examination will be held on 01.12.2019 and 02.12.2019 at Hyderabad. Only Boys are eligible to apply to the RIMC. During the time of admission to RIMC the boy should either be studing in class VII ot Passed Class VII (i.e, on 01/07/2019) from any recognized school exclusively for the state of Telangana consists of 10 Districts only. They should not be less than 11 1/2 years in age about should not have attained the age of 13 years.

Selection Procedure :
Rashtriya Indian Military College shall prepare the Final Select List based on the Merit of the Students based on their respective Performance and Total Marks both in the NIMC / RIMC Entrance Test and Personal Interview / Viva-voce for admission at the Rashtriya Indian Military College.Merit List:

Rashtriya Indian Military College will be released the result for the Entrance exam on the official website. Candidates can check the results from the official website and also a direct link to check the same will be provided below. The interview will be conducted at respective states. The respective state govt will intimate the candidates about the time and location of the interview.The result of the interview must be sent in a sealed envelope to the Commandant, RIMC, Dehradun, immediately after the conduct of viva voce. Also, the same must be conveyed by fax and email on the same day.
Fee Details:
A fee at RIMC is heavily subsidized by the Central Government. The fee is at present Rs.42400/- per year. It may increase from time to time. At the time of Entry a Security Deposit of Rs.20000/- is to be made. This is refunded when the boy passes out.Scholarships:

- The prospectus-cum-application form and booklet of old question papers can be obtained ONLY DIRECTLY from "The Rashtriya Indian Military College, Garhi Cantt, Dehradun, Uttarakhand-248003" through speed post by forwarding Self-addressed slip and an amount payee bank draft of Rs.600/- for General Candidates and Rs.555/- for SC/ST candidates along with Caste Certificate.

Online Payment:
Candidates can obtain the prospectus-cum-application form and booklet of old question papers by using the online payment method. On receipt of payment, the same will be dispatched by Speed post only.
How to Apply:
- Filled in application forms along with necessary certificates in duplicate should be sent to the Assistant Secretary (Exams), TS. Public Service Commission, Prathibha Bhavan, Beside Gandhi Bhavan, Nampally, Hyderabad - 500 013. The following documents should be enclosed along with application.
- Two copies of Original Application obtained from RIMC or from O/o, TSPSC, Hyderabad.
- Two copies of Birth certificates from the school or Municipal records showing the name of the candidates.
- Two copies of study Certificate from school.
- Candidates belongs to SC & ST should enclose Community Certificate issued by TAHSILDHAR.
- State of Domicile certificate to be enclosed Two (2) copies.
- Three (3) Passport size photo signed by the candidates Two (2) photographs to be paste on the application and one extra.
- One self addressed cover affixing postal stamps for Rs.5/- of filled application form along with requisite certificates should be sent to the ASST.
