ANDHRA PRADESH BRAHMIN WELFARE CORPORATION (A Government of Andhra Pradesh Undertaking) CHANAKYA SCHEME FOR MICRO ENTREPRENEURSHIP– TRANSPORT OPERATOR (CS-METO) FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2022-23

Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation (APBWC), a Government of Andhra Pradesh undertaking, is introducing “Chanakya Swayam Upadhi Scheme” a subsidy scheme for unemployed youth for purchasing Four- wheeler (self Driven) for public transport purpose with the collaboration of AP Brahmin Co-operative Credit Society Ltd.,Regd No. ABC-CS/006/2015, Vijayawada.To encourage economically weak Brahmin Entrepreneurs set up new / expand existing Micro Enterprises in various sectors for his/her livelihood.

What is the Objective

To provide subsidy for purchase of Four- wheelers to the unemployed Brahmin youth for their livelihood.

What is the  Scope

This scheme is applicable for economically weak Brahmins of Andhra Pradesh, who wants to settle as transport operator in Andhra Pradesh. Following are the subsidy / funding pattern:

The unit cost indicated is inclusive of Vehicle cost, Insurance, Taxes and essential

accessories costs.

Subject to the receipt of applications, number of vehicles can be enhanced/ reduced

on pro-rata applications received from districts

What is the Eligibility Criteria

1.  The applicant should belong to Brahmin Community and must be residing in Andhra Pradesh only.

2.  Applicant should be a member of AP Brahmin Welfare Cooperative Credit Society (ABC-CS)

3.  The applicant should be aged between 21 to 50 years as on 01.04.2022.

4.  Applicant should have passed 10th class.

5.  Present annual income of the applicant and his family from all sources should not exceed Rs.1,00,000/-

6.  Applicant should not posses any three / Four wheeler in his/her name.

7.  Applicant should possess valid permanent driving license as on the date of

application.

8.  Applicant should have valid badge No./ valid proof of identity as driver proof as on date of the application.

9.  Applicant should not have availed himself/herself any financial assistance under other Government Scheme / program for the same purpose.

10.  The applicant and / or his/ her family members who have availed financial assistance under Chankya Swayam Upadhi Schemes earlier from AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation are not eligible under this scheme. Only one Economic support scheme shall be granted per family (as defined in the ration card/ Rice card).

What is the Application Procedure:

1.  Online registration for the scheme is from 01.06.2022 to 15.06.2022.

2.  Eligible candidates shall fill their application online in the prescribed format (www.apbrahmin.ap.gov.in) only.

3.  The applicant should also upload the scanned copies (in pdf format with maximum 250kb size each) of the following documents.

a) Aadhar Card of the applicant.

b) Caste, Residence and Income Certificates issued by the competent authority or an integrated (Caste/Income/Residence /Date of birth) issued by Mee-Seva, in the name of the applicant in one pdf file.

c) Highest Educational qualification certificate along with Date of birth proof of the applicant.

d) Driving license & Badge / valid proof of identity as driver issued by the competent authority along with PAN card (if available) of the applicant in one pdf.

e) Latest Passport size photograph of the applicant

What is the Selection Process:

1.  APBWC will invite online applications from the eligible Brahmin youth from across the Andhra Pradesh.

2.  Applications received will be scrutinized by APBWC and eligible applications shall be sent to the ABC-CS.

3.  Vehicles will be procured through selected L1 bidders on e-Procurement basis.

4.  ABC-CS, after due diligence and pre-unit inspection, will provide consent letter to the Corporation, as per the district-wise targets provided.

5.  After receiving the consent letters from ABC-CS, the same will be placed before the State Level Selection Committee (SLSC) of the Corporation, for issuance of proceedings.

6.  After release of the proceedings by the Corporation, the ABC-CS will sanction the loan amount and collect the individual’s margin amount from the beneficiaries.

7.  ABC shall transfer the eligible amount of backend subsidy to ABC-CS directly after clearing the total loan portion of the vehicle by the beneficiary (excluding backend subsidy amount) and obtaining loan clearance certificate from ABC-CS only.

8.  The subsidy amount to be paid to the beneficiaries by the Corporation will be met from the Dividend / interest payable on Share Capital received from the Society.

9.  ABC-CS will procure the new vehicles in the name of beneficiaries, by releasing the amount directly to the vendor.

10.  ABC-CS will arrange meeting(s) with beneficiaries in consultation with ABC, to handover the vehicles to the beneficiaries.

Kashyapa Scheme for Food & Shelter (KS-FS) . Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation (ABC) Limited, a Government of Andhra Pradesh undertaking, is introducing “Kashyapa Scheme for Food & Shelter” (KS-FS) for the poor Brahmins in Andhra Pradesh. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs. 1,000/- per month shall be paid to the Orphan children, Differently abled, Widows and Elderly (Rs. 3,000/- per month if any elderly staying in Old-Age home), selected through the prescribed process.

Objective

To help poor Orphan children, Differently abled, Widows, Destitute Women (separated from
Husbands) and Elderly Brahmins, with financial assistance for meeting their Food and Shelter
expenses.

Scope

This scheme is applicable for the poor Orphan children, Differently abled, Widows, Destitute Women
(Separated from husbands) and Elderly Brahmins of Andhra Pradesh covering all 13 districts.

Eligibility

• The applicant should belong to Brahmin community and reside in Andhra Pradesh.
• Holders of White Ration Card or annual family income below Rs. 75,000/-
• Orphan children below 14 years of age as on 30th Sept 2018, Elderly above 60 years age as on
30th Sept 2018, all differently abled of any age and widows & Destitute women (separated from
husband, but do not have legal documents) of any age.
• Should not have availed himself/ herself any amount under any other Government scheme for
the same purpose.

Application Procedure

• Eligible applicants shall submit applications online (www.andhrabrahmin.ap.gov.in).
• Applicants may take support of internet centre or selfless volunteers.

• Applicant should upload the scanned copies (in pdf of maximum 250 kb size each) of the
following documents:
o Passport size photograph (in jpeg format)
o Aadhar Card of the applicant.
o Caste certificate issued by competent Government authority (Revenue Inspector / MRO)
o White Ration Card OR Income Certificate issued by competent Government authority
(Revenue Inspector / MRO).
o Copy of SB Account in Andhra Bank or SBI (account must be in the name of applicant)
o In case of Elderly staying in Oldage home - A certificate from Old age home that the
applicant is staying in their Oldage home
o In case of Widow, legal divorce document, and
o In case of destitute women (Separated from husband, but do not have legal document) – a
certificate / recommendation from Director / DLO / MCLO of the Corporation OR from MC
Member of the AP Brahmin Cooperative Credit Society OR from any MLA / MP / MLC

Selection process

• Scrutinising, short-listing and finalisation of applicants shall be done by the State Level
Committee (SLC).
• Amount specified under this scheme is as below:
o Rs. 1,000/- per month to Orphan children below 14 Years,
o Rs. 1,000/- per month to Different abled person,
o Rs. 1,000/- per month to Widow or destitute women (separated from husband, but do not
have legal document) of any age,
o Rs. 1,000/- per month to Elderly of above 60 Yrs age, staying on his / her own
o Rs. 3,000/- per month to Elderly of above 60 Yrs age, staying in any Old-age home in Andhra
Pradesh
o Rs. 2,000/- per month to Elderly of above 60 Yrs age, staying in any Old-age home in Andhra
Pradesh and getting pension through NTR Bharosa Scheme.
• The above amounts will be transferred to the SB Accounts of the Selected applicants, from the
month of eligibility.
• State Level Selection Committee is authorised to make exceptions in the eligibility / selection
process and their decision will be final.

Online registration of Kashyapa Scheme will start from 1st October 2018 to 3rd October 2018
